20 days until Christmas guys — prepare yourselves because there is plenty more “holidays”-hating, Christmas-fanatacism where this came from. I would say let the countdown begin, but we have already had plenty of this stuff even though December just started.

What the fuck? Why would you try to ruin this capitalistic holiday built around false feelings, false gift giving and 2 false men? I want to overspend my unemployment check and hate my family within a few minutes of their arrival.

As a “real American” I am feel completely “disrespected” that you would try to interupt me and my false feelings on this glorious month of only 1 holiday that counts.

You have been in office for not even a year and already you are trying to be nice to me? Trying as you say to get my 5 brothers and me jobs? Who the fuck are you to help me get work? I am very happy not being edumacated and living off the government and then giving straight to my god who always needs money.

Letting me know what your plans are? How you are going to befriend me with kindness?

Why don’t you do something Jesus would do and blow something up or enslave some people? Make someone happy for a change? But no. Muslims don’t do that. They just try to spoil the glorious month of my lord. The only true god who always needs attention and money.

I’ve found most Christians, when their arguments have been decimated with logic and reason, resort to making assumptions about your motives behind being an atheist and dismissing your arguments on the basis of these assumptions. This, of course, says nothing of whether or not atheism is correct.

And there seem to be only two possible reasons for ridiculing religion: either I wasn’t brought up in a religious home, which explains why I’m so immoral and fucked up. Or I was raised religiously, and in that case, I’m a sinner who’s rebelling against the ways of my parents.

But here’s the thing: I was brought up in a religious home, and I was religious, and I was just as faithful as you and your family are. The difference between you and me is that, when I asked questions about the world and reality and humanity, I actually wanted answers with some basis in the truth. And if you genuinely want to know the truth, you cannot accept the Bible. That’s it. I fought against the truth for years, clinging to my faith and to the go-to response I would get: “Well, God did it!”

I’m not possessed by demons and I don’t hate what my parents did to me by reading the story of Noah’s Ark to me when I used to take baths as a five-year-old. I just had questions, and a slight interest in what is true. And in the end, I realized the truth was more important than any comfort my faith gave me.

Something I have understood for a long time is that religion (any/most religions) are ONLY to completely take you in and devour you. They are not meant for enlightenment ANY LONGER.

Most religions are all about money and living in their head and not in the real world where 2 people who are the same sex want to get married…or putting chains on people because of their skin color…or my favorite killing everyone who does not agree with you.

Religion when taught and shown to an intelligent person who can control these urges to deny, or not chain, or not kill will find some kind of “enlightenment”. What we have seen in the many past decades is a combination of people becoming dumber (media, less social interaction, more “everyone get a trophy mentality”) and this in turn with the church becoming more powerful by the second through “conquering” people at their weakest and most vulnerable (going back even further I am sure most of the uneducated slaves got a religious education since “Jesus saved them” is what they were told).

They take their uneducated teachings and not teach it to their children, but pound or hammer it into their heads until the child is weak and gives up or the strong child rebels. Either way he was a saint or a sinner.

Religious cannot be convinced because that is the part of the brain that it devours. There is no reason to think when it was “Jesus’s plan all along”. (insert any fictious god in Jesus’s place) There really is no help for certain people because the damage is so profound and they never had a chance to change it.
